Kessa was a normal girl until her ballet teacher told her she needed to be "thin and firm." So Kessa started to diet. After a while, she couldn't stop. She was obsessed with being thin and terrified of gaining weight. In a few months she went from 98 to 71 pounds. Her doctor hospitalized her, where she still played tricks on the doctors there so she wouldn't have to eat. Her psychiatrist Sandy was the only one who could get through to her.
